    Small creeping tropical plant used for centuries in India. Believed to have remarkable rejuvenating properties. One or two freshly chopped leaves daily in salads or liquefied in juice are said to be sufficient to revitalize the cells of the brain and to retard the aging process. Research shows that it is valuable for the treatment of burns, wounds, scars and varicose veins because it stimulates the development of connective tissue. Of easy culture in humus-rich soil where humidity is high. May be necessary to enclose plants in plastic bags during dry winter months. Avoid direct sunlight.
